ESTABLISHED 1994
Syndal Baton Twirlers was formed in 1994 by Head Coach Mara (Young) Chase after competing as an athlete with Western District Baton Twirlers & Waverley Twirlettes for 12 years.
Mara also trained in ballet, jazz and gymnastics from the age of 5 to 25 & is a qualified Acrobatic Arts Instructor
In their very first year of competition (1995), all Syndal athletes qualified for the National Championships! In the years since, Syndal have performed at countless local, regional and interstate events, with many of their athletes being selected to represent Australia at the World Baton Twirling Championships over the past 25 years.
CLUB DETAILS
CLASSES (2 free trial lessons available)
Wednesdays - Mount Waverley Youth Centre
Ages 5 to 7: 5 - 6 pm (with option of longer class)
Ages 8-11: 5 - 6:30 pm
Ages 12 - Adult: 6.30 - 8 pm
FEES
Term fees range from $100 to $150 (10% discount for siblings)
Annual Registration & Insurance fee of $75 per person
Please note that we provide most costuming required to perform. However, athletes will need to purchase their own baton, shoes & stockings for competitions.
